Overview

The Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc Medical Grants Department consists of education professionals who facilitate life long learning for clinicians and patients through support of independent education. Our purpose is to bridge unmet clinical needs by support of innovative educational solutions that improve competencies, clinical performance, and patient outcomes.

The intent of this announcement is to notify experienced and accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) providers and Continuing Education (CE) providers that Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is interesting in receiving applications for educational grants for support consideration

Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, inc. requires that the development and execution of educational activities be based on documented educational needs and will ultimately lead to an improvement in the care of patients.

Applications will be considered that:

Demonstrate an integrated learning approach
Have well defined and researched needs assessments that identify current practice gaps
Address national, regional, or local educational needs
Link educational needs to achievable educational objectives
Encourage the use of adult learning principles to design interactive educational interventions
Result in improvements in clinical competencies, skills, attitudes or performance
Measure outcomes that demonstrate achievement of objectives
Have sufficient mechanisms in place to manage both conflict of interest and content validation

Process

Specific information will be provided in REGA announcements that provides details regarding the therapeutic and disease state, audiences of interest as well as response dates. Grant applications need to be submitted online at www.bipigrants.com. Following submission, there may be additional requests for more information from the Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Medical Grants Office. While this Announcement will terminate in 30 days, please be aware that Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. will continue to review all grant requests which are received.
